Tour Description
Day 1: Sydney
Arrive in Australia’s famous harbour city and check into your hotel. As the evening approaches, meet your guide and new travel companions for a welcome briefing at 6 pm followed by a group dinner. It’s the perfect way to break the ice and get excited for the trip ahead.

Day 2: Hunter Valley & Newcastle
Leave the city behind for a day of wildlife, vineyards and coastal charm. Start at a conservation park where kangaroos, koalas and emus roam. Then in the heart of the Hunter Valley, indulge in wine, cheese and chocolate tastings. In the afternoon, the relaxed port city of Newcastle welcomes us with a short orientation tour.

Day 3: Port Macquarie & Koala Hospital
We head north to the coastal town of Port Macquarie today. At the Koala Hospital, hear from the passionate volunteers and learn about the work being done to protect this special species. Later, take a stroll along the foreshore – if we’re lucky, we might see wild dolphins playing in the bay. The evening is free to explore and enjoy the local dining.

Day 4: Niigi Niigi & Byron Bay
Start the day at Niigi Niigi (Sealy Lookout) for a Gumbaynggirr First Nations experience. Learn traditional stories, hear the language and gain a deeper understanding of this ancient culture. Then we’re off to Byron Bay – sun, surf and creative spirit. At Cape Byron Lighthouse, stand at Australia’s easternmost point and take in the ocean views and watch for dolphins or whales in season.

Day 6: Noosa & Rainbow Beach
Cross into Queensland and discover the boutique beauty of Noosa. In Noosa National Park, keep an eye out for wild koalas and coastal birds. Explore the laid-back charm of Main Beach and Hastings Street before heading to Rainbow Beach – the perfect gateway to K’gari.

Day 7: K’gari (Fraser Island)
Today’s 4WD adventure takes you into the heart of K’gari. Swim in the crystal clear waters of Lake McKenzie, walk through ancient rainforests and see the rusting remains of the Maheno shipwreck. Drive along the famous 75 Mile Beach, keep an eye out for dingoes and soak up the wild beauty of the world’s largest sand island before returning to Rainbow Beach.

Important Information
- Mandatory Details: Passenger details are required at the time of booking, including date of birth, food allergies, title or gender for rooming configuration, a contact phone number, passport details.
- Dietary Requirements: While we endeavour to cater to most dietary needs, passengers must inform their booking agent of any specific dietary requirements or food allergies when booking.
- Medical Conditions: The tour operator must be notified of any known medical conditions at the time of booking. This is a physically demanding tour requiring an easy level of fitness and mobility.
- Fitness Level: Travellers can expect some light physical activities. Travellers should be mobile enough to walk unaided. A doctor’s certificate is required for participants over 70 years old, submitted at least 30 days prior to travel.
- Age Restrictions: Children aged 12 to 17 must be accompanied by an adult or legal guardian at all times. The tour is not suitable for infants or children aged 11 and under due to the nature of the tour.
- Solo Travellers: Solo travellers who book separately in a Twin Share Accommodation (SB8-B) will be paired with another solo traveller in a twin room or with someone of the same gender.
- Fare Type Options:
- Shared Accommodation (SB8-B) is restricted to Adults only 18+ years and over, as travellers stay in a shared room with shared ensuite. Not suitable for children.
- Private Double/Twin Room (SB8-S): For Adults and Children staying in a double or twin room with ensuite and must be purchased by Qty2 people staying together.
- Private Single Room (SB8-P): Restricted to Adults only (18+ years old and over) with ensuite.
- Mobility Considerations: This tour is not suitable for mobility-impaired travellers, including those using wheelchairs, walking aids or mobility scooters.
- Baggage Limitations: Limited storage space is available on our vehicle. Each traveller may bring 1 x 20 kg travel bag and 1 x 5 kg day bag. Larger or multiple suitcases are by request only.
- Itinerary Variations: Itineraries may change due to seasonal weather conditions, and occasionally sites in the parks may close for cultural or safety reasons or restricted swimming access. We prioritise safety and plan accordingly to ensure the best experience for our guests.
