"The Phillip Island tour was great and totally worth the time. You get to an animal reserve with Koalas and kangaroos. This was great, although it is very touristy. If you're looking to see them in the wild, this is probably not the best tour. There are several other stops including a place for lunch/tea (provided) and dinner. It depends on your guide, but we also got to see Swan Lake which was really cool to see all kinds of birds in a natural habitat. "

Gao, USA

"Great service from beginning to end. We had a dashing tour guide named Sid, who was considerate, entertaining, and very accommodating. He adjusted the stops accordingly and we were never rushed or spent too long at a stop. My husband and I had a wonderful time and this day tour was one of the highlights of our first trip to Australia."

Detailed Itinerary of Phillip Island Tour

In this Wildlife and Phillip Island Penguin Parade Tour, enjoy the fun, experience the magic, and savor the moment as you explore one of Australia's hidden gems.

Be wild and free. Set on a journey with us to Phillip Island and get up close to Australian wildlife. Koalas, kangaroos, flying foxes, exotic birds, crocs, Tasmanian Devils, seals, fairy penguins, and much more.

Located 140 km southeast of Melbourne, we will drive you to this majestic Phillip Island. This 10,000-hectare island is home to a little over 7,000 people and over a hundred different species of animals and wildlife.

To begin with, avail our one-day Wildlife-Phillip Island Penguin Parade Tour package. The tour package includes your morning tea or coffee (whichever you like) and all tour fees. We also pick you up and drop you off at your hotel. This is how we, Australians, show hospitality. Plus, we'll provide you free pizza for dinner!

The tour departs at 9 or 10 am and returns at around 9 pm, depending on the season. It is more than a Phillip island tour or a Penguin Parade tour package. It is about experiencing the exotic corners of Australia and be amazed at its hidden beauty.

Here are some of the highlights of the tour leading to the main spectacle of the trip:

From Melbourne we’ll take the South Eastern Freeway for about 45 minutes, then we’ll head to Phillip Island. We’ll pass over the bridge to reach the island. As we reach the island destination, you can enjoy the fun at a wildlife park with animals endemic to Australia.

The wildlife park of Phillip Island is home to more than 100 varieties of animal species -- koalas, kangaroos, emus, wombats, crocodiles, Tasmanian devils, and many kinds of birds. Visiting the wildlife park would be lacking without your camera. So be ready. Plus, taking photos of the beautiful birds is any photographer’s dream.

While at the wildlife park, be amazed at the flying foxes. Phillip Island houses the largest colony of flying foxes in southern Australia. You can experience these Australian native creatures which are vital to the hemisphere’s ecosystem in their natural surroundings.

We'll pass by the official Formula One Grand Prix Track where the biggest racing action happens. And we’ll visit the Woolamai Beach where you can enjoy the view of the rugged waters of this surfing beach.

We'll walk through the Swan Lake. And again, prepare your camera and take out the best lens you have because we'll wander and spy on the wetland birds and wallabies from the hidden observation platforms.

Then we'll drive to the Nobbies information center, Seal Rocks, and the Blowhole where you can watch the stunning view of the beach and spot the seals playing and soaking in the sun. At the Summerlands, watch and listen to the thunderous surf beneath the cliffs. You can take a deep breath because the experience is one of its kind.

The main attraction of the day is reserved for last: the famous Penguin Parade. These little penguins also called “fairy penguins,” are the smallest in the world. Witness the fairy creatures magically appear out of the surf to parade to their sand-dune burrows at sundown. They would cross the Summerland Beach traveling in groups back to their homes from the day's work of fishing for food in the waters of Phillip Island.

The spectacle happens as the sun sets on this parks and wildlife reservation designed to protect and promote awareness of the Little Penguins. The show is available to the public all year round no matter what day or season.

Enjoy the spectacle of one of Melbourne’s popular sightseeing tours. Our tour guides will entertain and inform you about some interesting facts and information along the way.

All you need to bring with you is your sense of wonder and adventure. Wear comfortable warm and cool clothing, hat, sunscreen, and a pair of walking shoes. Bring some drinking water and your rain jacket. But the most important thing is your love and passion for mother nature.

Who knows, you may chance Chris Hemsworth or Thor himself with his hammer, wandering around the island.

A great day

We did the Phillip island tour and for us it was a great experience. We were 25 people, so not to big of a group and the pick up bus arrived on time. For lunch we had a choice between chicken or ham sandwiches and with that a roll and some dried fruit. We were also offered coffee and tea.All the stops were good, and one of the things that really made our day great was our guide Neal who did an excellent job telling us what we could expect of the different stops. I think enough time was offered at each stop.We got to see a great deal of wildlife, both in the park and out in the wild. Remember to bring warm clothes when watching the parade, since the night gets cold even in summertime.

Memorable Experience @ Phillip Island

I chose 'Wildlife Tours Australia' because the programme itinerary was nice and the expenses were suitable to my pocket. It was a one day trip to Phillip Island. I would like to thank the friendly tour guide (Mike was his name, conducted the whole trip, drove us there and managed everything so well) especially for such a nice experience. The trip included visit to Maru wildlife park, Churchill island and the Phillip island. The evening visit to penguin parade was an incredible experience. I would highly recommend people to take this trip.
