"I can't speak highly enough of my experience with Wildlife ToursAustralia. The Great Ocean Road Sunset Tour is a treat, we got some amazing photos & great memories that will last a lifetime. Bus was comfortable, well air conditioned which is a must during the Australian summer. While being on the look out at Loch Ard Gorge at sunset was the main highlight, hand feeding the parrots at Kennett River was a very close second. Our guide was Darren, he was brilliant. Very engaging, informative & funny. I had a relative over from Scotland with me & he thoroughly enjoyed it, I highly recommend it to anyone but definitely a must do for tourists. Am looking forward to my next trip with Wildlife Tours Australia.

Detailed Itinerary of the Great Ocean Road Sunset Tour

Feel the sun and the sea. Breathe the fresh and salty ocean breeze. Experience the sunset on the southern ocean. Taste the distinct sweetness of Victoria on this Great Ocean Road Sunset Tour.

The highlights of the tour include a visit to a chocolate factory, a photo op at the Memorial Arch, a breathtaking road trip through the wonderful views of the resort towns of Anglesea and Lorne, and a walk to through the town of Kennett River. The main destination would be the 12 Apostles where you can enjoy the amazing southern sunset.

We will have a stop at one of Victoria’s priced chocolate factories -- the Great Ocean Road Chocolaterie and Ice Creamery. Try their handcrafted chocolates and ice creams. Meet and greet their passionate chocolate artists who crafted the best chocolates, ice creams, and other sweets with love and passion. Not only that, they also have a cafe where you can ask the barista to hand you their best-brewed coffee or hot chocolate.

Stand under the sign of the Great Ocean Road Memorial Arch and learn about the history of the road. Completed in 1932, the Great Ocean Road served as a tribute, a war memorial, to World War One servicemen. As you snap that photo you may also remember the sacrifices of the soldiers who fought the war for us.

Then we’ll pass through the resort towns of Anglesea and Lorne. Enjoy the great coastal vistas along the road -- towering cliffs, white beaches, lush vegetation, and exotic wildlife. You may even spot some kangaroos and wallabies. This road trip experience is guaranteed to be one of its kind, and you will realize why the road is called the Great Ocean Road.

We’ll walk through Kennett River, a small coastal town off the Great Ocean Road. The town is one of the best places to spot koalas on eucalyptus trees munching some leaves. Breathe the fresh and pleasant breeze filtered through the trees as you keep your eyes open to the town’s lush flora and native wildlife. Plus, delight in the friendly company of parrots and other birds.

Then we’ll take a walk through the Razorback and descend into Australia’s precious limestone gorge -- the picturesque Loch Ard Gorge. Feel the sand under your feet and wander around this treasure of natural beauty. Listen to the story of the Loch Ard shipwreck and learn about the area’s maritime history. Get yourself lost in the beauty of sandy beaches and majestic rock formations. The treasure is not buried underneath but it's all around you. The natural scenery is the hidden treasure!

The main highlight of the trip is the memorable moment of the sun slowly sinking behind the iconic 12 Apostles. Enjoy the stunning view and beauty of the apostles and catch the sunset as the sun descends to be one with the seas of the Southern Ocean.

Jesus and his 12 apostles reserved a table for 26 at a restaurant for their last meal together. The waiter wondered, “But you’re only 13?” Jesus answered, “We all sit at the same side.” Well, the Twelve Apostles have nothing to do with Jesus but a collection of limestone stacks, natural rock formations off the shore of Port Campbell National Park. Of the 12 apostles, only eight are left as the ninth collapsed in July of 2005. Learn about the names of the apostles while soaking yourself in the experience of the great vistas.

This Great Ocean Road Sunset Tour package is inclusive of late lunch, chocolate tastings, and all entry fees. We will provide you with an entertaining but friendly and informative tour guide. We’ll pick you up from your hotel and drop you off at the same hotel as we return at night.

Please bring your hat, sunscreen, and drinking water. Wear warm and cool clothing and a pair of comfortable walking shoes since we’ll have a lot of walking to do. Don’t forget your camera but always bring with you your passion and sense of fun and adventure.

Be ready to take some amazing photos and create unforgettable memories as you join us in this Great Ocean Road tour. But always remember: it is all about the experience, the fun, and the feeling of being at the ends of the earth.
