- We did a 1-day tour of Phillips Island out of Melbourne. Our driver Fiona was a helpful guide in pointing out wildlife and giving great tips on seeing the penguins. We had plenty of time to grab lunch in Cowes and explore a little before heading to the Koalas, and then the penguins. Overall, an excellent trip. Would recommend!C Summers5/30/2023
- Fantastic day on the Great Ocean Road with our driver Nate. He provided lots of information on various locations throughout the day on the intercom and was available to answer any questions while we were stopped. We loved all the stops. The recommendations for food at Apollo Bay were excellent.Cormac Harraghy4/07/2023
- Great tour! This was a very nice tour with close up penguin and koala viewing. The tour guide also provided interesting information about the penguins and other Aussie animals on the way to Phillip island. It is a big group tour, but it didn't bother me. Everything worked smoothly. Perhaps a little rushed feeling at times.Joel11/28/2022
- Yesterday I came back from the Great Ocean Road + Grampians tour. The tourguide, Tim, was amazing: even the music was thought through. He had lots of stories to tell. A very caring and fun man. Further... The hostel was nice. Breakfast was above expectations. The sights were great. Overall a very very good experience. Recommend to everyone!Evy van Weelden1/23/2021

- It worth it even if it is raining! The Twelve Apostles, plus the Great Ocean Road, is a must-see for anyone visiting Melbourne. It worths the day spent on it, even if the weather is not great. I recommend this tour of the Wildlife Tours Australia: positive benefit-cost ratio and the guide (Alan) was careful and shared the right amount of information.dfucs10/21/2019

- Long day but worth it! Booked two tours with this company. Great Ocean Road and Rainforest Tour was definitely worth it. Tours are on a minibus so small groups and much better than large coaches. Had an excellent guide, Daniel F who was informative, friendly and helpful. Picked up and dropped back near to hotel.100Shelly8/07/2016

That was an Amazing two-day Great Ocean Road and Phillip Island tour with Wildlife Tours! If you want to grab your family and spend two days together with a lovely Insta picture, there is only one stop here! The guide did excellent work; it was a fun and dynamic tour.
I took a 2 day tour to Great Ocean Road and Phillip Island and I would highly recommend that to everyone. The scenery was fantastic and you get to see wild wallabies and koalas too.
If you are taking any of their tours I highly recommend you find out if your itinerary includes any animal sanctuaries or nurseries. You will very likely go to an Australian animal sanctuary which is included in the tour price. You will get to pet and feed wallabies and other animals. Don’t pay for kangaroo/wallaby encounter at Melbourne zoo if you are taking these tours. It will save you about $30.
If you are taking a 2 day tour keep in mind that the accommodation is going to be a backpackers hostel so make sure to have towel and warm clothes (in winter) with you.
Even though the weather might be good I highly recommend you be prepared for sun, rain, and wind.
My husband and I took the 2 day Great Ocean Road / Phillip Island Penguin Tour and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Driver/Guide Tim picked us up right on time at our hotel and and we began our tour in a van with 5 other people. I cannot include enough positive comments about the knowledge, interest and care Tim showed for our group. He went out of his way to make sure all of our expectations and needs were met. I thought we would be stopping at restaurants along the way to have snacks and meals. However, a real highlight for me was that he truly wanted us to experience the Aussie way of life so we picnicked and had casual take out meals in picturesque locations. He even cooked a typical Australian breakfast for us! I loved it! Throughout the trip, he shared detailed history of this wonderful country and fascinating stories about its culture. He also searched the roadsides carefully to assure we would get to see some of the wildlife firsthand. Our hotel for the night was very moderate, 1960’s, but very clean and the management was more than accommodating. We took our tour in November and at times, it was very cold during parts of the trip so I wished for a jacket and gloves. I also wish I had worn hiking/athletic shoes. Overall, I will cherish the memories of this fabulous outing thanks to our fabulous guide!
Went on the 2 day trip to great ocean road, apostles, Maru wildlife park and Phillip island penguin parade. Neil the driver was excellent, always spot on with his timing, always made sure everyone was happy and well catered for, the trip design was great. Overnight in bells beach backpackers with a great barbecue and lovely breakfast the next morning. Really great time, very highly recommended.
We’ve had a great time with Wildlife Melbourne Tours Australia on 2 day tour to Great Ocean Road and Phillip Island ( 31 Oct., 2015). Highly recommend that to everyone. We went with an excellent tour guide/driver TIM. We traveled to various tour companies on this our visit to Australia and decided that Tim was the best guide. He was so knowledgeable about every site, very friendly and takes care of all the details in order to make everybody comfortable. We love the music he played along the long hours trip. Best Regards, Tim, from six ladies from Lithuania…
I was down in Melbourne for a short visit as my parents came to Australia for the first time. We did the Phillip Island and Great Ocean Road tour and we can highly recommend everyone Wildlife Tours. The tours suit all ages and are very well planned. Both guides were excellent and gave so much additional information about the animals and the landscape.
