Itinerary

Travel in a small group as we explore the West, Northwest, East Coast, Bruny Island and Tasman Peninsula, with multiple nights in Hobart to enjoy its food and cultural scene. Highlights include Cradle Mountain, Gordon River Cruise, Wineglass Bay, Tasmanian devils, Port Arthur Historic Site and more. Experience UNESCO World Heritage wilderness, charming heritage towns and Tasmania’s best short walks at a relaxed pace so you can really get to know the island’s stories and landscapes.
Whether you love nature, culture, wildlife or fine food, this is the ultimate Tasmanian experience — all wrapped up in comfort and guided by local knowledge.

Start your journey at Mt Field National Park, surrounded by giant eucalypts and Russell Falls. Then Lake St Clair — Australia’s deepest lake — and Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park. Walk along the Franklin River and Nelson Falls, then travel through Mt Lyell and Horsetail Falls to the old mining town of Queenstown. Meals: Dinner. Overnight: Queenstown.

From Strahan, take the famous Gordon River Cruise. Cruise through World Heritage-listed rainforest, visit historic Sarah Island, and pass through Hell’s Gates. Enjoy a Tasmanian produce lunch on board, then visit a Huon pine sawmill and head to Tullah, situated on beautiful Lake Rosebery.

Travel north via Waratah Falls and Hellyer Gorge to Stanley, home of The Nut. Continue to Arthur River and the windswept “Edge of the World” in the Tarkine wilderness. Meals: Breakfast, Dinner. Overnight: Tall Timbers.

Dive deeper into the Tarkine’s rainforest, stopping at Sumac Lookout and Trowutta Arch. Return to the coast, visit Boat Harbour Beach, Table Cape and Penguin before dinner and rest in Devonport.

Explore Cradle Mountain – Lake St Clair National Park. Take the Dove Lake Circuit, spot wombats at Ronny Creek and learn local history at Waldheim Chalet. On the way to Launceston, see the murals of Sheffield.

See wallabies at Cataract Gorge before heading east to St Helens for lunch and the Bay of Fires. Walk the white sands and orange rocks and overnight in Bicheno.

Spend the day in Freycinet National Park. View the Hazards, walk to Wineglass Bay Lookout and enjoy the coastal views at Cape Tourville, back to Hobart via the Great Eastern Drive.

Take the ferry to Bruny Island, climb Truganini Lookout, visit Cape Bruny Lighthouse and spot white wallabies at Adventure Bay. Taste local produce and return to Hobart.

Tasmania’s weather can be unpredictable and varies significantly across regions and seasons. Summer temperatures are generally mild, ranging from the high teens to mid-20s°C, while winter can be cool to cold, particularly in inland and highland areas. Coastal regions may experience sudden changes, including rain, wind, and cooler evenings year- round. We recommend checking the average weather conditions for the time of your visit and packing accordingly—bring layers for warmth, sun protection, and waterproof gear. Tours will go ahead in most weather conditions unless otherwise advised by the tour provider.

Fitness Level: Travellers can expect some light physical activities. Travellers should be mobile enough to walk unaided. Good mobility and moderate level of fitness is recommended.
Age Restrictions: Children aged 8 to 17 must be accompanied by an adult or legal guardian at all times. The tour is not suitable for infants or children aged 7 and under due to the nature of the tour.
Fare Type Options: ○ Private Double/Twin Room (UTC10-S): For Adults and Children staying in a double or twin room with ensuite and must be purchased by Qty2 people staying together. ○ Private Single Room (UTC10-P): Restricted to Adults only (18+ years old and over) with ensuite.
Mobility Considerations: This tour is not suitable for mobility-impaired travellers, including those using wheelchairs, walking aids or mobility scooters.
Baggage Limitations: Limited storage space is available on our vehicle. Each traveller may bring 1 x 20 kg travel bag and 1 x 5 kg day bag. Larger or multiple suitcases are by request only.
