Tour Litchfield National Park
“My friend and I did this Darwin Litchfield tour on our second day in Australia (both in our late 20s). We both had such a fantastic day and were lucky that the sunshine came out for us as well during the day. We had Tim (with long hair – there were two Tims!) as our guide, and we couldn’t have asked for better. Such a friendly and knowledgeable guy, absolutely loved his stories and facts throughout the day and how his playlist linked in with the information, he was telling us.” – Rachel P London, United Kingdom.

What better way to refresh, rejuvenate and experience the stunning diversity of the Northern Territory than by joining us on this one day Litchfield National Park Tour?
These lands have played an important role for the Koongurrukun, Marranuggu, Werat, and Warray Aboriginal people for thousands of years. With the diverse terrain offering pristine rockpools, flowing waterfalls and a haven for native birds as well as other Aussie wildlife, photographers will be in their element!

Adelaide River
The floodplains of the Adelaide River support hundreds of thousands of species of birdlife from all over the world. At the same time, it’s also possible to spot Black Flying Foxes and even Bull Sharks in this significant water system. We cruise out into the water to meet the most famous residents; Saltwater Crocodiles!
An unforgettable experience, we get up close and witness these apex predators in their natural habitat, the spectacle of the crocodile propelling itself up with its mighty tail to ‘jump’ out of the water is not to be missed!
Our tours of Litchfield national park allow you the option not to add on the cruise if this is something you have already experienced; if so, you can join your guide to explore the nearby Fogg Dam Conservation Reserve (see below).

A haven for freshwater wildlife, this reserve managed by the Limilngan-Wulna People is a fantastic spot to observe the astonishing wetlands and understand more about the Adelaide River floodplain’s significance to thousands of native and migratory species.
You are given the option to join your guide here if you are not heading out on the Crocodile Cruise for a scenic tour through this pristine habitat, with many chances to spot beautiful rare birds, water pythons or perhaps freshwater turtles, it is likely that we will also see crocodiles while in this wonderful wetland system.
Florence Falls or Tolmer Falls
It’s time for spectacular tropical waterfalls! The sandstone plateau of the Tabletop Range creates these gushing cascades, and here we take the time to either walk the 160 (very worth it!) steps down to the crystal clear swimming hole at Florence Falls, or we enjoy the grandeur of Tolmer Falls from the lookout above.
The monsoon rainforest creates a tropical surrounding that feels like nowhere else on earth. We make the most of it with a scenic walk and breath-taking views of this lush natural wonderland.*

My partner and our daughter did the Litchfield day tour, a fantastic experience offered by Wildlife Darwin tours. From the moment you step onto the tour bus, you are immediately surrounded by a knowledgeable guide and breathtaking scenery. The Litchfield area has stunning landscapes, unique wildlife and fascinating history. The Litchfield day tours from Darwin took us on an eye-opening journey through this amazing. Thank Peter, guide, he did great work.
If you’re looking for a day trip to Litchfield national park, Wildlife Tours Australia is a perfect choice. There we did a full-day Darwin to Litchfield day trip that took us on an incredible adventure to the magnificent waterfalls of the park. The Litchfield tour begins with a pick-up in Darwin and drives through stunning landscapes until you reach the park. Our Peter guide was very knowledgeable and kept us informed of the local wildlife as we made our way through the park. We had plenty of opportunities to take photos along the way and experienced some great hikes into the bushland. If you are looking for things to do in the Darwin, it might be one of the options for a round trip for your family. Even our daughter 6 years old was impressed with this trip.
