Detailed Itinerary of our Mornington Peninsula Tour

Travel with us to Australia's beloved peninsula and have some fun in our Mornington Peninsula Tour package.

Marvel at the diversity of what the Mornington Peninsula offers to its visitors and residents alike: beachside bathing boxes, roaring ocean, hidden gourmet delights, rustic farmhouses, and vineyards and wine cellars.

Located southeast of Melbourne, the Mornington Peninsula is surrounded by Port Phillip to the west, the Bass Strait to the south, and Western Port to the east. In the north, the peninsula is connected to the mainland. The peninsula is home to beautiful beaches, scenic views and sightseeing spots, wineries, mazes, and beautiful people.

In this Mornington Peninsula tour, you can stroll the beaches of Port Phillip Bay, sample some local products ranging from berries and wines to goat's cheese and gourmet delights, try one of Australia's best Pinot Noir, and so much more.

The tour departs at 7:30 am to 8:30 am on Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays and returns at around 5:30 pm. Here are some of the highlights of our Mornington Peninsula tour:

As you walk along the sandy Brighton Beach, you can easily recognize a row of 82 multicolored bathing boxes. These colorful wooden structures were built more than a hundred years ago to keep Victorian morality in the beaches of Port Phillip Bay. You can’t resist you urge to take a selfie or snap a photo of these iconic beach boxes.

Climb to the highest view point of Mornington, Arthur’s Seat, where you can enjoy the views of the ocean. At the top of this granite hill, you can indulge your eyes in the amazing golden beaches, mazes and ornamental gardens, Melbourne’s twinkling glass towers, and the peninsulas of Mornington and Bellarine.

We’ll drop by Main Ridge Dairy, a commercial goat dairy and farmhouse cheese factory in the peninsula, and try samples of their goat's cheese. Taste their high-quality milk handcrafted into amazing farmhouse cheeses. Take a quick tour around the farm and see for yourself the lovely goats working in the field to produce the milk!

Visit the cellar door of T’Gallant Winery. Sip and taste Australia’s Pinot Gris and Grigio wines from Pinot Grigio vines grown on the distinct soil of Mornington Peninsula. Indulge in the selection of cool climate wines nicely hitting the right spot while enjoying the view of the vineyard. Wine tastings are available seven days a week and you can also try their Roman style wood-fired pizza.

Enjoy samples of refreshing ciders at Mock Orchards located in the heart of Red Hill. Mock Red Hill is an apple orchard and processing facility that produced quality fresh apples, apple juice, apple cider, and apple cider vinegar. You can also take home a few bottles of cider or sparkling juice.

We’ll have our lunch at a cozy cafe in the seaside town of Flinders. Then we’ll explore the township’s boutique shops and galleries. You may also strut to the beach and feel the sand between your toes.

Indulge your sweet tooth and try some samples of award winning chocolates and marvel at the exquisite chocolate creations of Mornington Peninsula Chocolates. Enjoy the delight, bliss, and flavor of their chocolates “handcrafted with passion and love.” You can also shop or request a custom made chocolate gifts for your special someone.

We’ll have a stop at a family-owned Sunnyridge Strawberry Farm and try some samples of their ciders and strawberry liqueurs and wines. Established in the 1960s the farm produces a variety of berries -- strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and blackberries. You can try their strawberries with chocolate sauce -- and you can even pick some berries for yourself, of course, at extra cost.

We’ll end the day of our Mornington Peninsula tour in Green Olive at Redhill with shared platters and wine tastings. Delight at the welcoming ambiance of this award winning winery in a garden setting.

Our Mornington Peninsula Tour package includes all wine and cider tastings, cheese and chocolate tastings, gourmet cafe lunch, locally produced snacks for morning and afternoon teas, and a professional and entertaining tour guide. We will also provide you drinking water.

All you need to bring is yourself and your sense of adventure. But you also have to wear a warm and cool clothing and a pair of comfortable walking shoes. You may also need your sunscreen, water bottle, and rain jacket. Don't forget your camera because you'll be snapping some photos and taking selfies along the way.

This Mornington Peninsula tour is suitable for wine lovers but not for folks below 18 years old.

Kazzie from Perth, Australia
"This tour is really good value. So much to eat as well as wine and cider tasting. Lunch at Mornington Peninsula Chocolates was especially delicious and so well presented. Our coach captain Simon was very pleasant (as was Carl the trainee). The last stop Green Olive Winery at Redhill was delightful - the only downside was that it was quite hot and we were at tables outdoors and they did not have enough umbrellas to provide some shade.  The only negative on this trip was the visit to the Strawberry farm. As it was Sunday and the beginning of the strawberry season it was total chaos and in my opinion should have been avoided - total waste of time. Overall though great tour."

Beautiful day tour in the Mornington Peninsula

The Mornington Peninsula Wine, Cheese & Chocolate tour is a must do for all the wine & food lovers. We tried many different wines and the food was simply amazing! Vicky, our guide was very experienced and friendly. We traveled with a small group (18 people) and it was such a great mix of people (young, old, couples, friends, solo travelers, locals, internationals). I highly recommend going with Wildlife tours as the tours are really well organised and the quality of the tours is great.

Mornington Peninsula Cheese, Chocolate & Wine Tasting

We booked this day trip through Wildlife Tours. Our tour guide John picked us up at our hotel for our nice small tour group of 14. After picking everyone up we headed out to our first stop "Arthur`s Seat" which is a park up on a mountain. There we were all treated to coffee, tea or hot chocolate that John prepared right on the van. While we were able to view and take pictures. Then off to taste some locally produced cheese at Main Ridge Dairy. Followed by our wine tasting's. Our favorate vineyard on the tour was Green Olive. They have an outstanding Red Shriaz.and gave a great tasting. We had lunch at the Mornington Peninsula Chocolates. They first gave us samples of 3 different chocolates. Then we had lunch which was outstanding. Also they sell homemade ice cream along with the chocolates. We had both. After lunch we went to a general store to sample cheese and crackers and wine. Followed by our nice relaxing ride back to Melbourne.John did an excellent job our guide with great stories and suggestions.
