The Story

Founded in 2004, Hargreaves Hill Brewing Co. has become one of the original craft breweries in Australia. But the journey hasn’t been smooth sailing. In February 2009, a devastating fire destroyed their original brewery during the Black Saturday bushfires, one of Australia’s worst natural disasters. Instead of giving up, they rebuilt from scratch and moved to a new facility in Lilydale where they could grow. Being able to rise from the ashes – literally and figuratively – has earned them kudos from beer geeks and the wider community.
