Itinerary

Discover one of the best-kept secrets of Victorian Locals!

The Mornington Peninsula has long been a favourite for escaping the city, getting away and relaxing, and it’s not hard to see why. The abundance of produce and wines, stunning beaches and rolling farmland are just a few of the reasons the Mornington Peninsula is a must-visit.

Having been pioneers in bringing tourists to the Mornington Peninsula and one of the longest-running operators of wine and produce tours departing Melbourne to this region, we have a range of absolute gems for you to discover on this indulgent and sensational tour.

We start off heading up to Main Ridge and take in the views from ‘Arthurs Seat Lookout’, marvelling at the panoramas across the bay.

This beautiful goat’s dairy nestled in the bush is a perfect start to your tastings! With generous platters to sample a range of cheese from soft to hard and all in between, you will feel right at home in the country. Of course, you also have time to meet the resident goats with floppy ears, who are absolutely adorable!

Not one but two wineries are visited throughout the course of the day. Marvel at the expansive views with your first wine-tasting stop at Red Hill Estate. The last stop for the winery tour Peninsula, we will visit T’Gallant Vineyard for an extensive tasting of their award-winning cool climate wines.

A small family-run farm orchard making traditional apple ciders, high-quality olive oils and cider vinegar. A sip of one of their ciders and you will taste the care that’s been stored in each bottle.

The charming seaside town of Flinders is filled with galleries, quirky shops and a range of cafes and restaurants for you to purchase lunch (at own expense). We take time to relax and explore the township, but not before you have sampled Mornington Peninsula Chocolaterie and Ice Creamery’s gourmet creations.

No visit would be complete without checking out the brightly coloured beach boxes! The first stop of the morning is a stroll along the beach giving you the chance to get some ‘insta-worthy’ snaps of these quirky and delightful Melbourne tour icons.

  1. This winery tours Mornington Peninsula is such enjoyable as we taste lots of things: Cheese, wine, cider, chocolate, strawberries
That was fantastic! And the road is beautiful, we are going by the sea sometimes and it makes us discover the Victoria State deeper.
    Don’t hesitate to book 😉

  2. A really great day had by all. Dwayne was our top notch tour guide with a fantastic sense of humour and knowledge of the region. We hit a range of places that specialised in fresh produce such as goat’s cheese, local grown wines, apple ciders, chocolates and strawberries. It was a lovely scenic drive throughout the day and it was awesome seeing a different side of Victoria. Highly recommend this Mornington winery tours if wanting to do something a bit different and see more of Victoria instead of staying in the city and for the stunning local produce.

  3. This is an amazing day out. Craig was an excellent guide/driver and was very knowledgeable of the area and the wineries. We (party of 3) thoroughly enjoyed the wineries we visited, also the ciders, strawberries, cheese, and chocolates and enjoyed our relaxing break in Flinders. Also enjoyed the sing-a-long on the way back!! Thoroughly recommend this Mornington Peninsula wineries tours.

The Mornington Peninsula Wine, Cheese & Chocolate tour is a must do for all the wine & food lovers. We tried many different wines and the food was simply amazing! Vicky, our guide was very experienced and friendly. We traveled with a small group (18 people) and it was such a great mix of people (young, old, couples, friends, solo travelers, locals, internationals). I highly recommend going with Wildlife Wine tours Mornington Peninsula as the tours are really well organised and the quality of the private Mornington Peninsula wine tours is great.

We booked this day trip through Wildlife Tours. Our tour guide John picked us up at our hotel for our nice small tour group of 14. After picking everyone up we headed out to our first stop “Arthur`s Seat” which is a park up on a mountain. There we were all treated to coffee, tea or hot chocolate that John prepared right on the van. While we were able to view and take pictures. Then off to taste some locally produced cheese at Main Ridge Dairy. Followed by our wine tasting’s. Our favorate vineyard on the tour was Green Olive. They have an outstanding Red Shriaz.and gave a great tasting. We had lunch at the Mornington Peninsula Chocolates. They first gave us samples of 3 different chocolates. Then we had lunch which was outstanding. Also they sell homemade ice cream along with the chocolates. We had both. After lunch we went to a general store to sample cheese and crackers and wine. Followed by our nice relaxing ride back to Melbourne.John did an excellent job our guide with great stories and suggestions.

Having just completed a tour of the Mornington Peninsula with Wildlife Tours yesterday l highly recommend it to anyone. It was a fantastic day, very informative and most enjoyable. Our tour coach Leon was incredible and joined in the fun we had, we visited the best wineries, enjoyed the wine tasting, the delightful lunch, the chocolate tasting was enjoyable to say the least. The scenery all along the way was truly wonderful and the stories and the history that Leon told usabout was very informative. In general we had a great day and would highly recommend it to anyone. I know when next l am in Melbourne l will repeat the tour, it was that good

We booked the day tour to the Mornington Peninsula when we were in Melbourne recently (though it was not our first time visiting there or to Melbourne but yes for my mum).

We were picked up at the hotel by our guide, David W, who was extremely friendly, jovial and knowledgeable. Throughout the entire tour, he was attentive to details and attended to all the tour mates with his best and whenever we dropped by or passed by a location, he would gave us a nice summary or introduction of it.

There were only 10 tour mates for the day and we were traveling in a mini coach and that allowed maximum interactions between all of us and with David. We could also move freely on the coach!

As far as the itinerary was concerned, it was quite well structured and organized and most importantly, within the time allowance at each location (as all the tour mates were very cooperative and considerate). We visited goat farms, wineries, strawberry farm, jetty and included a lunch at Flinders that was very good. I would not go into the details here for each of the places we have visited as you can read my reviews posted earlier.

The only feedback for improvement was that there were several wineries included in the tour which to some of us who are not really drinkers, seemed too much (and of course time spent there seemed longer since it was supposed to be wine tasting). Also good to include other kinds of activities like walking tour in Flinders through the streets or even included visit to Sorrento.

Overall, we did enjoy the tour and should we visit Melbourne again, will surely book the other tours with the company!

Me and a friend went on the Mornington Peninsula winery tour yesterday, and we would definitely recommend this tour to absolutely everyone! It is only a short drive away from Melbourne and includes two different wineries as well as a cider house. You literally get fed until you are about to burst with the best cheese and chocolate I have ever tasted! The lunch is of such a high quality, not at all like your usual sandwiches and snacks!

The peninsula was absolutely beautiful and it was so lovely to get out of the city for a day and experience all of the incredible beaches.

The best part of the tour was probably the amazing tour guide, Rob L! He knew absolutely everything that there was to know, and stopped off at tons of breathtaking view points on the way. Such a lovely guy and such a wonderful tour. I would recommend this to everyone of all ages as me and my friend are in our early twenties but there was also people of all ages on the tour.

Overall a really great price for all that was included 🙂
    THANKS WILDLIFE TOURS
